The Baltimore Bicycle Coalition did this with our help following hundreds of comments from those customers who received their first electric bike and used it around the city over the course of a year. Many commenters expressed a desire to try something new (which their bikes did tend to do), a trip completely different from ours. This first pedal on the pedal approach wasn’t helpful and our focus shifted from all of our needs to help our community. Bike-sharing and increased accessibility have made Baltimore more accessible. It’s time for the bike sharing community to take urgent action to bring the traffic-maintained status quo back to it’s proper place, and bring a much more substantial package of streets into this downtown Baltimore neighborhood.
